    History and Background

    Synergy Holdings Inc. (a sister company to Synergy Energy Solutions) has been installing stand-alone, renewable energy systems using both solar and wind technology since 1998. Synergy Holdings continues to develop large systems for municipalities, companies and villages. In addition, the real estate development arm of Synergy holdings continues to operate to develop properties and build homes.

     

     

    Large Scale Projects

     

    The company is currently developing the 150 MW Amaila Falls hydro project in Guyana , South America to power the entire national grid of that country. Guyana generates ALL of its electricity using oil and it is not a producer of this commodity. The Amaila Falls Hydro plant will produce cheaper, renewable energy for the national grid and reduce the country’s dependence on imported oil.

     

    In addition, Synergy is looking at several wind farms in Minnesota and Kansas (the wind belt) for generating commercial amounts of power and selling it to the grid. These are in various stages of development. Wind energy is site specific and needs to be measured, towers to be micro-sited and adequate areas of land needs to be used to get a large scale wind farm built. The good news is that the farmer continues to farm his land and the turbines in no way inhibit the use of the land except where the tower bases are.

In the Sunbelt stretching from Florida to California in Southern USA, it is a “no brainer” that a solar hot water heater should be installed. It also makes good sense to combine that water heater solution with a more complete, total solution including wind or photovoltaic systems.

     

    In the late 1990’s when renewable energy was not in the main stream in USA , these systems were quite practical and economically feasible in Third World countries. Over 200 systems were installed in Caribbean where the high cost of electricity and its unreliability made it affordable to install such systems. Projects ranged from a single home to electrifying schools and health centers in remote villages.

    Synergy Energy Solutions will work with our customers to offer a total system solution including installation and after the sales service. On the other hand, if you would like to install your own system, we will offer you help on how to set it up and support you to get this done. Our goal is to promote renewable energy and to show you how it can be most economically installed using innovative design solutions as well as lucrative federal and state incentives that makes the costs of these systems for a typical home affordable.

     

    The systems today are more sophisticated and the customers are using more electricity than ever before. This, coupled with the soaring price for oil, natural gas, coal and even bio-fuels are forcing all of us to re-look at how we live and consume power. So while the cost of producing power from solar and wind energy is appealing and while the system efficiencies have gone up, the capital costs on a system has also been climbing. The incentives being offered by the state and federal governments are key to the economics of a system. In addition, with the Public Utility Commission now allowing net metering in several states, the most expensive and highest maintenance component – batteries- are no longer needed in a grid connected system.
